In their master thesis, Olivia Chalandon and Patricia Lidborg explored how people can be supported to share their belongings with others. In collaboration with the startup company Sortapp and with support from FutureMemories AB, Olivia and Patricia designed a new feature for the inventory management app Sortapp that enables people to easily store and mark items that they want to share, and to search for and request to borrow other people’s items.
The thesis project was conducted at Chalmers University of Technology and supervised by the Use2Use research team. Olivia and Patricia made use of one of the Use2Use tools currently under development – a tool for charting circular consumption journeys. The tool enabled them to identify important user requirements and functions to include in their concept.
